after i settled in at my grandparent's house for an afternoon lunch with my mother and grandmother, we flipped on the television and watched along with the world, the final farewell to the world's greatest entertainer. most blogs and sites will point out how this was a star studded event,but i'd like to focus on his family....

Chicago Police were investigating the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old man this morning in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood.
Christopher McClain, 20, of the 6400 block of South California Avenue was pronounced dead early Monday at Advocate Christ Medical Center, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. The man sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Police said the man was shot at about 5:30 a.m. on the 2800 block of West 62nd Street by unknown offenders. No other details were available.
i remember sitting in mr elzy's 2nd period class freshmen year battling....low key i had a crush on him and now he's gone
