round midnight

i talk a lot about growing up and the music i was exposed to as a child. from hip hop, jazz, soul, funk, gospel, and even some country, my parents never half stepped with the musical selection. i woke up after not really having a peaceful sleep(which is strange because i had a wonderful day yesterday). anyway last night i left my radio on a popular jazz station and woke to,"Round Midnight" by Thelonious Monk. it reminded me of saturday morning in my family's southside home, eating dat donuts with my dad and playing with his model train sets....
